I have a passion for poetry
It is integrated within me
Friends think it’s too plain
And no one cares to see
I cherish their thoughts
It challenges my skills
I consider myself a nobody
But can’t speak for my thrills
A dictionary is what I need
To inherit the bombastic word
But me as a simpleton
In simple words, I insert
I seldom read, so to seed
New ideas, I rarely feed
I talk uprising, barely breathe
But my poetic spirit never leaves
Critics are welcome, I adore
They are here to help me soar
If I put in an effort some more
I could become a poetry pro
Alas! I am only human
So often proven, with many flaws
Rebellion is in my blood
I rebel against established laws
I am foolish for not listening;
Thank you, friends, for mingling
I owe you some time
But they belong to me
I’m up for a hangout
Whenever I am free
My friends are my life
Thanks ‘God’ for that
They bare my stupidity
Companions along my path
Gratitude is all I have to possess
Ego serves no one, I confess
Without friends to have fun, I digress
Life wouldn’t be the same, I express
